Community Health and Sanitation

In social service, health is leading importance as a national asset and basis to sustain as well as stimulate optimum levels of efficiency. Good health is an essential requirement for increasing productivity required for increase in quality of life. The prevalence of the evidence is that health and nutrition do affect employment, productivity, wages and very substantially so among the poorest of the poor.

Among the integrated development, the organization has focused on health issues more especially of the children and women. Several immunization camps for child and mother, health checkup camps, health awareness camps, training to adolescent girls and young mothers on reproductive and child health care, health awareness and check up camps. The organization has better rapport with the District Health department, sub division Hospital, and local CHC and PHC.

INITIATIVES/ACTIVITIES

  • Providing referral and voluntary counseling to pregnant women and lactating women with active coordination with ICDS & DHH, Sundargarh.
  • Informal and formal village level awareness meetings
  • Organizing events (Debates, essay competitions, street play, Drama, poster campaigning, rangoli making etc.)
  • Awareness meeting on health and nutrition
  • Health Check up camps
  • Educational sessions at Schools
  • Total Sanitation Campaign
  • AIDS awareness Campaign
